“In 1979 I humbly offered my services to Remant, at that time Rematex, to fill in for a colleague who was doing his military service. A temporary job, I thought back then, just until the colleague would come back. However, at Remant I got the opportunity to grow in and with the company. I worked as a freight forwarder/bellboy for a short time until I applied for a vacancy at the customs service where I learned the tricks of the trade. This job helped me to become an Assistant Director. Today, more than 40 years later, I’m still glad I made that choice. The job is so diverse, no two days are the same.”
