Our customer Agristo produces pre-baked potato products and exports a substantial share of its produce to destinations all over the world. They also import the vegetable oil they use in the production process.
In collaboration with Agristo, Remant Customs carried out an audit of all customs-related processes, right up to the bill of material (BOM). We investigated how to automate the customs administration process, including inbound and outbound process relief. We started with export movements and set up EDI links for communication between the customs authorities and Remant Customs.
This resulted in process improvement and considerable savings in import duties for Agristo, which automatically generates tax declarations from SAP in Belgium and the Netherlands and has them monitored by Remant Customs. Remant Customs takes care of exception management, and any variations and problem files are followed up immediately by our Customs Architects.
